| British Supersport 600 |
Sarah Jordan and Peter Molloy who both ride for Steve Jordan Motorcycles on Suzuki GSXR600's have entered the British Supersport Championship at Brands Hatch on the 7th-9th August 2009.
The premier event in the British Superbike calendar on the prestigious GP circuit takes place on the weekend that would normally host the World Superbike meeting. It is promised to be an action packed weekend with 3 Superbike Races, Live Eurosport coverage on both the Saturday and Sunday plus demo laps from Agostini, Troy Corser and his WSBK BMW. World Superbike Kawaski team will also wild card at this event with Broc Parkes and Makoto Tamada.
Sarah explains "My main aim all season has been to put in an entry for this weekend. This is everything that I have worked towards all season. Its going to be very tough going and im really going to have to ride at my absolute best during the weekend. I am though very confident in my bike at the moment and myself so no matter what happens im sure that if i give it my all we will come home with some big positives and awesome memories after the weekend.
Last weekends meeting on the GP Circuit gave me such a boost as I managed to bring my lap times down by half a second each time I was out on track culminating in a 1.34 so I know that I can push even more.
To be able to ride at this level has been a dream for a long time now. Ideally I need to find another second a lap at least, but if I dont want to be sitting here two weeks afterwards and wishing I had at least given it a go. Im hoping being out with the quicker riders will bring down my laptimes even further during the weekend.
Ok some people may say I will be out of my depth..I respect that but having sat down and thought about this for a while now and having asked various people I trust who have massive experience at British level I have had some great support and been told just to focus on what I do best and thats going as quick as possible. If it doesnt work out then just park up, sit back, relax and soak up the atmosphere. Fine advice as im not someone to sit and just not bother!.
So my expectations are high as always and we shall see what happens. No matter what the experience will be worth it!"
The team would like to thank everyone who has supported them so far this season, mainly Bernard Elliott, Silkolene and NGK plus many others.
